Red lipstick, a staple in every makeup collection. A shade that can be worn all year round, as a classic  bold statement. There are summer reds, winter reds, bright reds, orange reds, day reds, night reds and the list could go on. Gap year is one of those things which seems to have got a bit of a reputation over the last few years. Not nesscarily completely bad, but generically it is seen as a year in your life after you finish school to travel, do some good, find yourself etc before heading straight off to uni. Brilliant if that's what you want to do, but for me I don't want to be put under that label or even for people to consider that I'm doing a gap year. Because I'm not. I'm starting my life, I've left school and I have my whole life ahead of me to do whatever the hell I want. Currently I do not plan to come back to any sort of higher education, and therefore I'm not on a gap year. However I am going to Australia to work in a school for a year, which I agree is a classic gap year excursion so be prepared there will be lots of posts on this and to help all of you who are on a gap year, never fear I am not completely anti them.

Basic makeup is the one. I have been loving the look of super simple, fresh, dewy, basic makeup. Simple doesn't mean minimal, I still wear a fullish face of makeup but keep it simple with one shadow shade, no liner and a ton of mascara for the eyes. The rest of the face is pretty standard, super glowy and my new favourite foundation.

 Weightloss, meal replacement products seem to be everywhere with everyone wanting to get that 'summer body'. I am quite skeptical, as I don't truly believe in completely replacing meals however I am willing to give everything a go. Personally I wouldn't replace any meal other than breakfast, because I believe that eating a healthy balanced diet is the best thing for you, and no shake can be better than that. However breakfast is one of those meals, where it is easier to go for something that is a meal replacement and not feel like your missing out on some kind of delicious food.

Despite my mood, everyday there are things which I am grateful for, which make me happy. Today I have complied a list of five things which currently make me happy, small petty things and rather more sentimental meaningful things. Regardless of how big or small, they all mean something and put a smile on my face. I'm challenging myself to think of at least five things daily, which are making me happy and I am grateful for and you guys should do the same.
