May's Makeup Bag

This month's makeup bag is a very simple, minimalist one. After the hot weather we had I though that this would be perfect for the warmer months, plus the fact which I have exams so I won't be wearing makeup as much as usual because nobody wants to make an effort for revision.
MAC Face and Body Foundation, initially very light coverage but very easy to build. I love this foundation for the summer, because it doesn't feel at all heavy on the skin. Day to day I would only wear one to two layers, however if I do want to go for something more high coverage I have that option. As always Collection Lasting Pefection Concealer, my go to concealer at the moment because its so affordable and does such a great job. Using this with the Face and Body Foundation means that although I have a light coverage on the majority of my face I can pick and choose places where I want to cover a bit more. MAC MSF Natural, another favourite of mine at the moment. Sets everything in place, controls shine and adds a teeny bit more coverage. It is so finely milled that your skin never looks caked in makeup. Because I've got exams as I said I won't really be too bothered how I look, especially as most days I'm stuck revising but I can't go without a bit of bronzer, for this I am using my Hoola by Benefit. If I want to add a bit of subtle contour I can use this for that as well. Brows, they just have to be done. MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme is my everyday essential for this so I wouldn't be without it and then the L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper to set them into place. Depending on what I'm feeling some days I'll just go for mascara and others I will do a quick flick of eyeliner, for my mascara I am using Miss Sporty Curve It Pump Up Booster which I love for quick amounts of volume. It has a massive brush which I like for days when I have no eyeliner because it builds up the volume quickly and makes you eyelashes stand out. If I am feeling eyeliner I have the L'Oreal Super Liner which is not my favourite L'Oreal eyeliner but it does the job and stays put.

So thats everything in my makeup bag for this month, what have you been using a lot lately?

  3. I've quit wearing foundation at the moment for a much more lighter refreshing look because depending on the foundations is whether or not it's too heavy for the hot weather.

  7. Ouuu great products! :)

Would you say you could use the MAC powder alone just for a teeny bit of coverage without it looking odd? :)

    1. Personally, I have never tried using any powder on its own as I am very much a liquid foundation kinda girl however I think that this product may be too light but if your looking for a really tiny bit of coverage then I think it would look fine, you could always pop into a MAC stand and give it a go xx

    1. If you go near a store, ask for a sample. You can explain what kind of thing you want and they can advise you on what foundation to use as well as letting you have a few samples to try xx

  16. You use some amazing products! I'd love to try the Face & Body foundation this summer too, especially because it can be built it up to the finish you like best. I've been using my MaxFactor Creme Puff blushes a lot lately, I really like how subtle they are but they add a nice glow to the cheeks!
