Let The Adventure Begin

So this is surreal, I am currently sitting in Hong Kong airport with an hour or two to wait till I get my second flight to finish of my twenty two hours of travelling and get me to my desired designation of Sydney. If you didn't know I was going there, where have you been? I literally have shut up about the fact that I am in fact moving to Sydney for a year. How exciting!
So I have been travelling for about ten hours, yawn, and still have a solid twelve to go. For someone who claims that they can sleep anywhere, I am yet to sleep so hello serious jet lag and a very grumpy Ottilie.
This literally does not feel real, despite the fact I am half way across the world on my own, with a hand luggage which weighs more than a bag which I have checked onto the plane, walking round the airport literally feels like a workout. It feels like I will be home in a couple of weeks, I won't be I have a full 365 days to go and I CAN NOT wait for the adventures awaiting me. This is the fresh start I have wanted for so long.
Saying goodbye was weird, my emotions are weird, I cried but really I wasn't scared or worried at all. Seeing my parents shed a tear, is something which never fails to make me well up and saying goodbye to my twin sister, was one of the hardest things I have done and trying to keep it together nearly killed me. We have been together since birth, with the longest we have been apart being two weeks and now we have a full fifty two weeks to get through, in which she will be going through some huge changes and new things where I wont be there by her side. I know she will smash it, she always does and where we can't snuggle in bed and watch films together, trusty Skype will ensure we can stay in touch and with the constant watsapp messaging I will be missing out on nothing.
You don't really think about the fact that this is the last time in a year, because as I said it hasn't really hit me. I went through security gate, the point of no return and I pulled my shit together and got on with it. Something I pride myself on being very good at.
Bring on another twelve hours of travelling and I'll keep you updated on the flip side.
