Beauty|| MAC Eyeshadow Explained

Along with lipsticks, MAC eyeshadows come in a variety of finishes and sometimes its a little bit tricky to figure out what's what, so todays post is all about explaining the MAC eyeshadow finishes so you know exactly what all of the names mean and also so you can find exactly what your looking for.
Matte: These eyeshadows are the simple eyeshadow without any shimmer, sheen or glitter. I love these as a natural everyday shadow and are also great for transition colour because they look like a natural shadow for contouring your eyes.

Matte²: These eyeshadow have basically the same finish as the regular matte eyeshadows, but they have a more intense payoff and feel a little smoother in texture.
Satin: Satin eyeshadows vary in their finish. Some appear matte but others appear more frosty. They give a subtle sheen, I would say that they are between a satin and frost finish, but it varies for each

Frost: Frost finish eyeshadows have an iridescent appearance, they have small shimmer particles in them They are shimmery NOT glittery.

Lustre: These are more shimmery, they have more fallout than most of the other eyshadows but I have never tried any of this finish so I can't really comment on that one.

Veluxe: A much smoother creamer version of a matte finish but with less colour pay off.

Veluxe Pearl: Veluxe pearl finish is very shimmery and more metallic but is quite similar to the frost finish. The finish is soft and smooth, making it easy to blend.

Velvet: This finish is similar to veluxe pearl but less metallic. This finish gives a soft, with high colour intensity and has a velvety look.

I am planning on doing the same as this for the MAC lipsticks, so look out for that post.
