I am a massive MAC eyeshadow fan, although I haven't bought all that many my collection is slowly growing and I now have two MAC quads, along with my cool neutral palette. This purchase, Satin Taupe was inspired by Tanya Burr but since I bought it it's been my go to shadow for everyday.
Satin Taupe has a frost finish, read my explanation of MAC Eyeshadow Finishes here, its a taupe grey/brown in colour with shimmer. Its very pigmented but blends out to such a lovely soft colour as shown on the swatch about (left blended, right heavy swatch). I also wear a base under my eyeshadow, MAC Painterly Paint Pot and with this is lasted all day and I'm sure would of lasted even longer if I hadn't had to take it off to go to bed. It has a lovely soft, buttery texture which makes it super easy to blend out and it has a really nice finish on the lid making my eyes pop. You can wear this alone for an everyday look or you can build it up, put a darker colour in the crease and its a perfect night time colour. It's also amazing for a taupe coloured smokey eye.
Have you ever tried this shadow? What's your favourite MAC shadow?

That's so pretty, would look lush blended into the crease with maybe a deep purple!

I have all that glitters and love it, I recommend this too if your looking for another MAC eyeshadow x
DeleteI love Satin Taupe, such a pretty colour. One of my very favourites though is Wedge, as you can wear it as an all over lid shade or you can just wear it in the crease.
