So tomorrow is my birthday, and excited is an overstatement. Normally I don't get all that over excited for my birthday, but this year is a completely different story.. I am so excited. To be honest this year has not got off to a great start for my family, but I determined to make my 17th year the best year yet and here are so reasons why...
I've got one more year till I am 18, when things get real and I need to start sorting out my life. I'm not yet officially an adult so I am going to make the most of this. Enjoy my last year as a child, although I feel like I will always been a child at heart.
I'm still at school, yes I know all I go on about is how much I want to leave school and get on with my life. But I'm here, and I'm going to stick it out because winners never quick, and quitters never win. I am going to make full use of this time I have, make a plan- giving me something to aim for. Start dreaming big for what I want to do with my life.
I can drive, come on this is a pretty big thing. I want to learn as soon as possible, then a whole new type of freedom is opened up to me. I can be more independent and stop having to rely on my parents to take me places.
It's the beginning of the end, sounds oh so dramatic I know. But it is, I'm nearly an adult and I'm nearly done with school. Although I'm not desperate to be an adult, but I am to finish school and that excites me so much. It's actually feels achievable now.
Summer is shaping up nicely, I had an aim at the beginning of the school year to make the summer something to really look forward to, and so far I haven't got tons of stuff planned but what I have is so exciting and lots of things I will be able to blog about as well, which is going to be so cool.
My blog, of course. Its ever growing and I enjoy doing it more and more each day, I am so excited to keep it going. Posting different types of posts, expanding my skills and engaging with loads more readers.
When I first sat down to write this post I thought I would have loads of things to write, but it has turned out to be a bit trickier than I thought. But overall I am just feeling really positive for the next year to come, although there isn't that many specific things. I am determined to make it the best year yet.
