August was not meant to be a month of shopping, I'm trying to save but as usual a good deal and the opportunity to expand my makeup collection are both things which I cannot resist. While I was in Brighton I stumbled upon a KIKO store which I had no idea was there and couldn't miss out on picking some bits from the sale. And the other items I don't have an excuse for except I have wanted them for ages, especially that MAC lipstick there was no way I was missing out.
Starting off with KIKO, I picked up four Smart Lip Liners, currently on sale for £1.20. I don't own many lip liners and have been desperate to expand my collection, the quality of KIKO is incredible but at such an affordable price. I grabbed a range of shades 703 a neutral pink nude shade. 706 a bright right, and therefore essential colour. 710 a very deep berry shade, slightly more purple than red. 711 lighter mauve, brown toned nude but leaning more towards the pink shades.
Normally £6, I got the Clics Eyeshadow 24 Pan for free because I bought 6 of the pan eyeshadows. This is quite bulky but I guess holding 24 shadows, which are all reasonable sized (much bigger than MAC) you would expect it. Moving onto the shadows which I got I bought 4 Infinity Shadows £2.80 in the shades 236, 239, 243, 234 and 2 Infinity + Sparkle Shadows £2.80 in the shades 402, 406 there is such a range of shades I really didn't know where to start so I picked up a random selection which caught my eye and hope to build my collection more in the future.
MAC have released a new range of Matte Lipsticks, which includes Whirl £15.50. A lipstick version of the famous whirl lipliner. Being a huge fan of the brown toned nude I knew I had to get my hands on it, and couldn't be any more pleasantly surprised and impressed with this lipstick. It's everything I expected and more.
Boots was the last stop, and this was in fact on a completely different day, The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge £5.99 has been on my wishlist for the longest time and I've just never really got round to it. Maybelline Master Sculpt £6.99 again something that since it has been released I have wanted to pick this up and give it a go. I picked up the darker shade just because I prefer a strong contour and this shade looked more suited to me. L'Oreal SuperLiner Perfect Slim £6.99, I love the SuperLiner range and have completely run out of liner so this was a very essential repurchase.
I feel like this month I have been much more contained than usual, have you picked up any new makeup or beauty bits?

I've yet to try the Kiko shadows, but I've heard some great stuff about them. I'm so sad there seems to be more and more kiko stores but still not one in birmingham :( I'm awaiting the day! xxx
