Ultimate Nude Lip Combo

Nude lips are my go to lip option, although I love a bright red or deep berry this trio of lip products is my fail safe option, and goes amazingly with most makeup looks. Three lip products is quite a lot, especially for someone like me who likes low maintenance makeup, but with amazing lasting power this stays put all for the majority of the day, making it ideal for a day to day basis.

MAC Boldly Bare is one of my most used lip liners because its lighter than my natural lip colour, I tend to use it to outline my lips but then go over it with whatever lipstick I'm using so the colour is less obvious. Its a great base for any nude lip look.
Then going in with MAC Self Aware Lipstick, which isn't the same shade exactly as boldly bare- which is slightly lighter and more pink toned. However it works well and the lip liner works to keep your lipstick in place and your lips looking perfected.
Rimmel Apocalips in Nude Eclipse is perfect over the top to balance out all the colours again, especially as this is more nudey pink toned and looks amazing over Self Aware. It adds a lovely glossy to the overall look.

A short but sweet post today, I have some very exciting posts planned however have a slight issue with the dull, rainy, grey weather I am finding taking photos very tricky but hopefully new, fresh content will be up soon and I will be continuing to post throughout the rest of the year of course!

  1. I want to find a nude lip but I swear every shade looks slightly off on me. I guess I'll just keep hunting. I love the Rimmel apocalips too (just not the nude on me haha!)

  4. I've never heard of 'Self-Aware' before! I recommend your next nude lip purchase to be Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in 'Serenity'.

  5. I always end up going for a nude lip. They're so fuss free & go with almost anything. My faves are Mac Kinda Sexy, Kiss Matte Lipstick in Bare Nude, & the Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Gloss in Nude Illusion :)

  7. I love a nude lip but I'm too scared to try the Apocalips ones in case it washes me out. It looks a bit too nude for my skin tone. But the Apocalips lip lacquers are my FAVOURITE. I love everything about them, just wish they'd come out with more shades.

My favourite MAC nude (other than Velvet Teddy - cos who doesn't love VT) is Brave. I love that one too! But nude lipsticks are very hit & miss with me. I love a good pink though!

  8. Oh never heard of these Mac colours before but I don't think they'd work on my skin tone as it's too pale

  10. Love these lip colours - the Mac lipstick shade looks so nice! I love Velvet Teddy for lipstick but desperately need a new lip liner. I also love the Maybelline lip pencil in Nude Perfection - so cheap!
