Beauty|| MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme

MAC's answer to the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade, Fluidline Brow Gelcreme. I have heard great thing about the Dip Brow Pomade and although I haven't tried it yet, I thought I would give this a go and then from there I could decided if this whole gel cream thing is for me.

In recent times, brows are the thing. Everyone wants those perfect brows, with the curve beautiful gradient and don't look in any way natural but the same way don't look fake and one block colour. The skill I am hoping one day I will too posses to sculpt perfect brows but for now, I just give it my best shot.
The MAC fluidline eyeliners seem to be amazing with everyone raving about them, I was worried that these would be too similar to eyeliners and give that very drawn on effect that you have literally drawn an outline and painted it in. Not going to lie my first attempt may of looked something like that. Because of its formula this is so soft and easy to define your brows, literally like doing your eyeliner but so much easier because you already have your natural brow shape to base it all on.

It is long wearing, waterproof and sets quite quickly once applied so you won't be smudging it anywhere. I have the shape deep dark brunette, because of my dark brows and hair but there is a choice of three colours. The gel crème formula is very pigmented, a little does go a long way and its essential you start at the tail of your brow to ensure that more natural look. Because of its quick drying properties you do have to be quite quick once its applied, but this is nothing to panic about just apply a little bit at a time work with that then add more. This makes it so much more manageable and helps to stop you over doing it.

I use my Louise Young LY37 brush to fill my brows in, and then my ELF Brow Wand to comb through my brows and spread the product through my brows. I like to fill the tail of my brows in and then starting applying it to my brows further forward and using the comb to brush it up through my brows, trying to avoid applying lots to the top of my brows more pulling it up from the bottom.

The first time I used this, it didn't quite turn out as I imagined. But its a product you need to practice if you haven't used anything like this before. Now I have practiced I love it, and I think its much better than powder because you can get it so much more defined and pencils I just can't get them to work for me.

Have you tried anything like this to fill in your brows? What's your favourite brow product?

  2. I picked up the dip brow last summer when I was in the USA and haven't stopped using it since! I'm so intrigued by this though to see if it's similar but not too sure if it's worth the money as I already own an equivalent. Tempting though, very tempting. x
